I want to publicly thank the many healthcare providers and administrative staff at Sarasota Point for the care that David received while there over two years. I credit a lot of his recovery and well being today to the consistent care he received and importantly the willingness of the staff to listen and assist as needed. While not the newest facility, most of the rooms are large and all are on the ground floor with 99% having large windows. During Covid when access was limited, being able to see and speak with David through his window became very important. We sincerely appreciate all the staff who worked to help David with his recovery.

Sarasota Point Rehabilitation Center has been the perfect place for Dad after his stroke. Coming to the realization long term care was the only choice for him, after much searching around Sarasota, my brother, sister, and I chose Sarasota Point. We could not be any happier over these past 8 months. First and foremost, the staff is simply outstanding! Each one has shown genuine concern for Dad and has given him plenty of attention and care. Amelia’s professionalism and sense of humor with him makes for a great match. Latoshia, Linda, Daphne, Stacy, Mario, Latoya and others (sorry for not listing everyone) have shown genuine care to make sure each day goes as smoothly for him as possible. This has not gone unnoticed by my family members. It is impressive and proven to be predictable over all these months. The cleanliness of the facility is quite good. It’s not the most modern, flashy building, but the floors are shiny, there are no alienating smells, etc. In our search throughout Sarasota before deciding, we did see and smell a bit of everything. It is clear that Ryan, the Director, has done a terrific job in selecting staff members that enjoy working there and all seem to contribute to making it feel like a family. Everyone appears to be on board for this common mission. From Sheryell at the front desk to Anthony in maintenance, everyone seems to know Dad and oftentimes has stories to share about their interactions with him. It does seem as if everyone is on the same page in trying to make the residents, at least my dad, feel welcome there. Of course, I have not met everyone that works there, but everyone I have met and interacted with many times have made visits easier and enjoyable. Working with Dan in Social Services and Lori in the Business Office, and Michelle in Activities only puts an exclamation point on my very positive feelings about Sarasota Point. If you find yourself in the situation my family found themselves in, I understand the stress and uncertainty. You want to do the best for your loved one. The process of figuring out the perfect placement for them is tiring and very stressful. I felt compelled to write this review because after going through that process, we know we found the perfect place for Dad. We could not have done any better. It was the perfect decision. We all sleep better at night thanks to Amelia, Latoshia, Linda, Ryan, etc. Dad is in a safe space among a group of people who seem to genuinely care for him.
